This is what RIPE NCC does with Local IR requests.
Local IR asks for class A address block Assignment
( maybe wants to cash in choc letters - didn’t eat them)
Request enters system
Hostmaster gets request,
Investigates, using previous requests, registry info, stuff
Monday morning, OKs it
HM updates Reg database
Local IR is notified
Everyone’s happy.
So there is a need for a system to:
1. handle incoming requests, and questions concerning requests
2. route them to a HM
3. let HM query old requests,
4. pass answer to local-ir
This is a ticketing system. Daniel described one in RIPE-63
